... I checked the link you sent about your student days in 1967.Unfortunately, my German is very poor, I understand only every third word or so, however, my husband Paul had a great time reading your recollections. He came to Canada in 1967 from Regensburg.
  He remembers with great fondness the days of Montreal Expo 1967 and the La Ronde.
  The tobacco fields are pretty much gone now, the tobacco business has been dead in Canada  for some time now and really, there are not very many smokers left.
  We have much more liberal liquor (alcohol ) laws now. The beer and wine stores are doing steady good business.
